The e-Parliament convenes legislators in international parliamentary hearings to question experts and consider ideas for joint action. These hearings, each focusing on a specific issue, can be face-to-face in a standard "committee hearing" format, or can take place on telephone conference calls linking parliamentarians and experts around the world.

Click here for information on the first e-Parliament hearing, held in the US Congress on September 14, 2005. In the hearing, senior legislators from nine countries focused on the future of outer space and the possible deployment of space weapons. Upcoming hearings will focus on sustainable energy, and the promotion of democracy.

The e-Parliament also enables legislators, organizations, journalists and individual citizens to learn from each other around the world through an online question and answer process. Click on any question in the right-hand column to answer, comment, or see answers from others.
